Privacy Policy — iOS Application

Overview

Fefdy Mentor is a simple and user-friendly application designed to help school faculties manage academic responsibilities and student data more effectively. It complements our learning platform by syncing students' progress data from educational activities, allowing teachers to track and monitor learning outcomes.

This application is intended for use by school staff (primarily teachers) to manage and oversee school-related functions including teacher leave requests and student performance reports. The iOS app works in connection with our learning platform where students complete interactive educational activities via the Fefdy Scholar Android app (on Google Play) or the web version at https://lmsnxt.fefdygo.com/. The Fefdy Scholar iOS version is currently in development and will be released in the future.

Data Collection and Usage

Important: The Fefdy Mentor iOS application itself does not collect any personal data directly from users during normal use, except when the user voluntarily provides a profile picture from their device’s photo library.

During onboarding or school enrollment, user data is collected through a separate, secure web-based platform managed by our organization. The types of user data collected there include:

• Email address
• Phone number

These details are used in the app only for identifying authorized users, linking accounts, and enabling app functionalities relevant to their role in the school system. We do not collect or store additional personal information through the iOS app itself.

Use of Photos and Media

If you choose to update your profile picture, Fefdy Mentor will request permission to access your device’s photo library. This is solely for the purpose of allowing you to select and set a profile picture within the app.

• Selected photos are not shared with any third parties.
• The photo is stored securely and used only within the app to display your profile.
• You may choose not to grant this permission; in that case, you can continue to use all other features of the app without a profile picture.

Data Usage Disclosure

• The data collected (Email ID and Phone Number) is used solely for identification and communication within the app.
• We do not share this data with any third parties except where required by law or with the explicit consent of the account owner or school.
• Data is stored securely and used only for the purposes described in this policy.

Children’s Privacy

This app is not intended for direct use by children. It is designed exclusively for faculty and administrative use. Any student-related data—such as attendance, homework, and local assessment records—is tracked and managed solely by authorized teachers within this application.
